Somerset Prostate Support Association was founded in 2003 by a small group of men who approached MacMillan Nurse Julia Pollard who then contacted a number of men to start the group. It has established itself as a much needed source of help and support for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and to give aid to them and their families.

We have meetings quarterly on the third Saturday in March, May, September and November. We also have some social events when we do enjoy ourselves. Our general meetings are held at the Albemarle Centre, Taunton, where we have invited speakers to talk about topics linked to prostate problems. Occasionally we have a speaker on a topic of general interest. The general meetings are currently held on a Saturday morning between 10:00 and 12:00.
